   Sve se više izložbi organizira u kategoriji digitalna (virtualna) fotografija (DIG). Radovi se šalju putem e-pošte (E-mail) ili na CD-u, zapisa slike:

- duža stranica 1024 px (piksla),

- vertkalna 768 px,

- rezolucije 72 dpi,

- isključivo u *.jpg formatu ili

- prema posebnom zahtjevu organizatora.

    Radovi su ravnopravni klasičnoj crnobijeloj, kolor fotografiji ili diapozitivima, a pod pokroviteljstvom su i FIAP-a i PSA.    

    Tema može biti slobodna i/ili zadana:

- tehnike: color ili crnobijela (monokromatska),

- bez dodatne obrade (likovnost – Pictorial, ..   ),

- sa dodatnom obradom - (Eksperimentalna, Creative, Altered Reality, ..   ).

    Takvi radovi mogu nastati snimanjem digitalnim fotoaparatom, skeniranjem filma ili fotografije, te dodatnom obradom na računalu. Cilj je prikaz rada putem elektroničkog medija – LCD projektora, interneta,  ...

DEFINICIJA PRIRODE

     Fotografija prirode prikazuje slobodne životinje i neuzgojene biljke u prirodnoj okolini, geologiju i raznovrsnost prirodnih fenomena, od kukaca do ledenjaka. (Ne prihvaćaju se fotografije domaćih, pripitomljenih ili na bilo koji način sputanih životinja, isto kao i fotografije uzgojenih biljaka.)

     Prihvatljiva je samo minimalna naznaka nazočnosti čovjeka kada je predmet snimanja priroda, npr. rode, koje su se prilagodile urbanoj sredini ili kada su predmet snimanja prirodne sile, poput uragana ili plimnih valova.

     Izvornu fotografiju mora snimiti fotograf, bez obzira na to kojim se fotografskim medijem služio. Manipulacija ili modifikacija izvorne slike mora biti ograničena na minimalna retuširanja mrlja, čime se ne mijenja sadržaj izvornoga prizora.

DEFINICIJA CRNOBIJELE (MONOKROM) FOTOGRAFIJE

       Nova definicija:

     Crnobijela (monokromatska) fotografija je rad koji ide od tamno do svijetlo sive. Sukladno tome, svaki crnobijeli rad potpuno toniran jednom bojom, ostaje monokromatska fotografija. Takav rad se reproducira, u katalogu izložbe pod pokroviteljstvom FIAP-a, u crnobijeloj tehnici

     S druge strane, djelomice tonirani crnobijeli rad ili rad kojem je dodana jedna boja postaje fotografija u boji.

DEFINICIJE PSA

Nature Photography:

     Nature photography is restricted to the use of the photographic process to depict observations from all branches of natural history, except anthropology and archaeology, in such a fashion that a well informed person will be able to identify the subject material and to certify as to its honest presentation. The story telling value of a photograph must be weighed more than the pictorial quality. Human elements shall not be present, except on the rare occasion where those human elements enhance the nature story. The presence of scientific bands on wild animals is acceptable. Photographs of artificially produced hybrid plants or animals, mounted specimens, or obviously set arrangements, are ineligible, as is any form of manipulation that alters the truth of the photographic statement. No elements may be moved, cloned, added, deleted, rearranged or combined. No manipulation or modification is permitted except resizing, cropping, selective lightening or darkening, and restoration of original colour of the scene. No special effect filters can be applied. Any sharpening must appear natural.

Authentic Wildlife:

     In addition to above. One or more organisms living free and unrestrained in a natural or adopted habitat. Therefore, photographs of zoo or game farm animals are not eligible for the P.S.A. Silver Wildlife Medal.

Creative photography:

      may be defined as "altered reality".

Social documentary:

      Is defined as an apposite comment on everyday social life or the environment.

Photo Travel:

     A photo travel image must express the feeling of a time and place, portray a land, its people, or a culture in its natural state, and has no geographical limitations. Ultra close-ups, which lose their identity, studio-type model shots, or photographic manipulations, that misrepresent the true situation or alter the content of the image are unacceptable in Photo Travel competition. No elements may be moved, cloned, added, deleted, rearranged or combined. No manipulation or modification is permitted except resizing, cropping, selective lightening or darkening, and restoration of original colour of the scene. No special effect filters can be applied.
